TEMPE GARDEN, DESIGN + BUILD

This small Tempe courtyard was transformed from a boring blob of lawn into a lush desert garden.  The project is organized by a series of low stucco walls that flank the space, and a simple fountain that is aligned with the entry gate.  When the Ironwood trees grow the entire space will be shaded under their canopy.  We love to work on projects of all sizes, and to create lush desert gardens for modest home sites.

DESERT SANCTUARY, DESIGN + BUILD

A natural stone planter helps to transition between the natural rock outcropping and the back patio.  3 concrete fountains add a visual focus from the house and ambiance to the space.  The planter is filled with rip-rap that was gathered from the site to blend naturally with the surroundings.  The patio provides a perfect place to sit and enjoy the surrounding desert.

BILTMORE ESTATE, LANDSCAPE DESIGN

We designed a pool and landscape remodel for this odd shaped lot in the exclusive Biltmore district.  The homeowner requested a pool, a large turf play area, a water feature, a pergola, an outdoor kitchen, and a fire feature.  We went through several iterations until the homeowner was satisfied and the project was on-budget.

CAREFREE ESTATE, DESIGN + BUILD

We remodeled this hillside estate in Carefree with the goal of bringing the surrounding desert into the space and taking advantage of the beautiful site.  We removed over 200,000 lbs. of concrete and replaced it with garden spaces that use gravel and natural stone.  The cold and harsh space was transformed into a lush desert garden that makes the unique architecture feel integrated with the land.

CHANDLER RESIDENCE, LANDSCAPE DESIGN

We designed this garden for a family in a typical suburban subdivision.  The odd shape of the lot was obscured and made useful with a series curved gravel paths, xeric plants to attract pollinators, a stone fountain, low smooth stucco walls, and a fire-pit space.  The owners wanted a space for their young kids to be in touch with the flora and fauna.  The side yard was transformed into a kitchen garden with fruit trees and vegetables.

MOON VALLEY RESIDENCE, DESIGN + BUILD

We designed this front yard landscaping to be low maintenance, functional, and to increase the curb appeal of the house.

CHANDLER RESIDENCE, LANDSCAPE DESIGN

We designed this minimalist garden for a new-build home in Chandler. The project budget was under 30k.  To achieve this we used steel edging  and  gravel to frame 2 spaces that are connected by 6 poured in place concrete step pads that match the existing concrete patio. The steps tie the yard together into a cohesive whole.  Once the trees and plants grow the space will have volume and privacy as intended.

PHOENIX RANCH, DESIGN + BUILD

We designed this front yard re-model to compliment the house and create a usable space.  Regal mist grasses and various xeric plants were incorporated to match the new brick patio, and to work with the existing lawn and mature trees.

SCOTTSDALE PATIO HOME, DESIGN + BUILD

This patio home had a very narrow space to work with.  We used steel planters to minimize the width of the material and create definition to the spaces.  A variety of succulents, palms, and cascalote trees were used to turn this 7' wide space into a usable oasis.  We love to work with sites of all sizes.

RENDERINGS + SKETCHES

We work in a variety of mediums as we develop your design.  Here are a few random examples of how we communicate ideas in 3-D with our clients.
