This intimate courtyard in Tempe was transformed from a simple lawn into a vibrant desert garden that offers year-round beauty and a sense of enclosure. A series of low smooth stucco walls define the space, while a fountain carefully aligned with the entry gate establishes a strong visual axis and creates an inviting focal point. Desert ironwood trees provide dappled shade throughout the garden, softening the landscape and creating a comfortable outdoor retreat that feels both timeless and serene.
DOVE MOUNTAIN POOL & LANDSCAPE DESIGN
Created for a model home in the Dove Mountain community of Marana, this pool and landscape were envisioned as a contemporary desert retreat that embraces the surrounding mountain views and reinforces the home's architectural character. Clean lines, carefully selected materials, and desert-adapted plantings establish a refined outdoor environment that feels both timeless and connected to its setting. In close collaboration with the interior design team, the outdoor spaces were thoughtfully integrated with the home's interiors, creating a natural flow between inside and out.
DESERT SANCTUARY DESIGN & BUILD
A natural stone planter creates a seamless transition between the native rock outcropping and the patio. Three concrete fountains provide a strong visual focal point from the home while adding movement and ambiance to the space. The planter is filled with site-collected riprap, allowing it to blend naturally with the surrounding landscape. The patio offers a comfortable setting to relax and enjoy the beauty of the desert environment.
BILTMORE ESTATE POOL & LANDSCAPE DESIGN
Located on a uniquely shaped triangular lot in the Biltmore area, this pool and landscape renovation transforms a challenging site into a cohesive resort-inspired outdoor retreat. The design incorporates a swimming pool, expansive lawn for recreation, water feature, pergola, outdoor kitchen, and fire feature, creating a variety of spaces for relaxation and entertaining. Through a collaborative design process and thoughtful refinement, the final plan balanced the homeowners' vision with the site's constraints, resulting in a landscape that maximizes both function and beauty while remaining within budget.
CAREFREE LANDSCAPE REMODEL DESIGN & BUILD
This hillside estate in Carefree was transformed with a vision of reconnecting the home to its extraordinary desert surroundings. More than 200 tons of concrete were removed and replaced with natural stone, decomposed granite, and thoughtfully composed desert-adapted plantings. The result is a vibrant desert garden that softens the landscape, enhances the property's natural character, and creates a seamless connection between the home's distinctive architecture and the beauty of the Sonoran Desert.
CHANDLER RESIDENCE GARDEN DESIGN
Designed for a young family in a Chandler neighborhood, this garden transforms an irregularly shaped lot into a welcoming and highly functional outdoor environment. Curving gravel paths weave through pollinator-friendly, drought-tolerant plantings, connecting intimate garden spaces that include a stone fountain, low smooth stucco walls, and a fire pit for gathering. Created to encourage exploration and a connection with the natural world, the landscape provides opportunities for the family's children to experience birds, butterflies, and other local wildlife. The side yard was reimagined as a productive kitchen garden, complete with fruit trees and seasonal vegetables that bring beauty, sustainability, and fresh harvests to everyday life.
